My .ascx control (with AJAX) is written using .NET Framework 3.5. How can I use it with SmartPart with AJAX?

I am very much interested in this too. Any updates or information on AJAX with .NET 3.5?

You need to add this to web.config:
<assemblyBinding xmlns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:asm.v1">
<assemblyIdentity name="System.Web.Extensions" publicKeyToken="31bf3856ad364e35"/>
<bindingRedirect oldVersion="" newVersion=""/>
<assemblyIdentity name="System.Web.Extensions.Design" publicKeyToken="31bf3856ad364e35"/>
<bindingRedirect oldVersion="" newVersion=""/>

Does the web.config need to have Version= instead of 1.0.61025.0?

I'm still having trouble getting 3.5 AJAX to work with Smart Part.

I am also having this problem.

I added the assembly redirect but I am receiving the error:

Unable to connect to SQL Server session database. The connection string (server='xxx', database=xxx) was returned by an instance of the IPartitionResolver type 'Microsoft.Office.Server.Administration.SqlSessionStateResolver, Microsoft.Office.Server, Version=, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=71e9bce111e9429c'.

Any help would be greately appreciated.

I am facing a strange problem. I have .Net 3.5 on my servers. When I put smart part without Ajax, it works fine. But When i place smartpart Ajax webpart, and put my Ajax web controls in it. It displays them well. But when the control updates, it doesn't refresh the control. If I manually refresh the page I see the updated control.

Does anybody have an idea about it, what I am missing, or i m doing wrong?

Kind regards
