After installing this release, I was prompted with the following while trying to add a new web part.

ERROR:

SOLUTION:

Add the following dependentAssembly to the sharepoint's web.config under <runtime><assemblybinding...>

<dependentAssembly>

<assemblyIdentity name="System.Web.Extensions" publicKeyToken="31bf3856ad364e35" culture="neutral" />

<bindingRedirect oldVersion="1.0.61025.0" newVersion="3.5.0.0" />

<dependentAssembly>

This redirects the binding to the new version and we can add/ create a new web part without errors.
